Today, John and I leave from Athens to the isle of Patmos, where St John spent time in exile. On Patmos he wrote the last book of the Bible, Apocalypse. Our Ferry seems to be doing a "milk run" that is stopping at many islands on the way. We will get to Patmos in about 9.5 hours.
John (my brother) made it clear that he does not want to be left on Patmos like his Patron St John. My discourse on the spirituual benefits of exile not withstanding. I am excited to see the island and learn more about St Johns exile there.
